"In the service industry, I always felt that we who serve the public become faceless to the people we serve. Especially for those who work in customer service. They don't know us, nor do they care. We provide a function and that's all. We are like computers or robots are we not? So we surround ourselves with little things that remind us of our humanity. Pictures of the beach. Figurines from movies that made us laugh. Things that reminds us of who we are that those on the other side of the phone are completely unaware of."
